📍 Location: Istanbul, Turkey
🔧 Industry: Agricultural AGV Robotics
🛠️ Product Purchased: Servo Drives, Servo Motors, Wheel Hub Reducers
A Critical Issue: Unexpected Servo Drive Failure
It was just the second day after the Lunar New Year, and we at HKT-ROBOT were already in full motion. Among the first visitors of the year was a Turkish client developing AGV robots for the agricultural industry. This was his third time working with us, and his visit was not just about purchasing—he needed urgent technical assistance.
During our conversation, he recounted his experience:
🛠️ Client: "The first batch of servo drives we bought worked fine. Then, we ordered two more for testing. But when we connected them to the control board we designed ourselves, something went wrong. The drive burned out. We checked everything, but couldn't find the cause."
Identifying the Problem: A Race Against Time
With a pressing project deadline, our client had already been troubleshooting over the Lunar New Year holiday, attempting to resolve the issue remotely. However, realizing the complexity of the failure, he made a decisive move—booking a flight to China to visit HKT-ROBOT in person.

His urgency was evident:
Customer: "The project is critical. We can't delay any longer, so I decided to come here directly to discuss the solution face to face."
After receiving his faulty servo drive, our engineering team conducted a detailed diagnosis. After rigorous testing, we found the problem - the potential difference between the control board and the servo drive caused the voltage to be unstable, which led to burnout. The mismatched grounding settings caused excessive current, which damaged the internal circuit. "
Customer: "This explains everything! But how do we solve this problem? "
Providing the Solution: Professionalism & Efficiency in Action
Realizing the urgency of the problem, our engineering team quickly designed a solution to eliminate the voltage mismatch and ensure the servo drive operates safely without the risk of burning out.
After replacing the drive, we performed a real-time simulation for the customer to test the stability of the solution.
HKT-ROBOT engineer: "We have adjusted the grounding and added protection circuit modifications. This should prevent further failures. Would you like to test it yourself?"
Customer: (connecting the modified setup) "It's running well now! There is no voltage instability, the bleeder resistor temperature is normal, and there is no overheating.
Trust Built on Expertise & Support
The customer was impressed by our responsiveness, problem-solving approach, and technical expertise.
We asked the customer: When the problem arose, why did you choose to fly directly to us instead of other suppliers?
Customer: “Working with HKT-ROBOT is completely different from other suppliers. Some companies only sell products, but you provide solutions. Your engineers are professional, responsive, and easy to communicate with.”
When asked about his supplier selection criteria, he emphasized:
1️⃣ Real Manufacturing & Technical Support – "I don’t work with trading companies. I need real manufacturers who have in-depth engineering knowledge and can provide reliable after-sales support."
2️⃣ Independent R&D Capabilities – "Suppliers must have control over their core technology and software, not just resell hardware."
3️⃣ Trust & Reliability – As a sign of confidence, he made a direct cash payment in USD for two additional servo drives, ensuring he had backup units ready for his project.
